I love hearing from readers! You can use this form to send me a message and I'll do my best to write back to you. If you're a child, please ask a grown up to send me a message for you - that means I'll be able to reply!

I also love visiting schools and libraries to speak to kids about mammoths, extinction, the science of cloning and climate change. I also run creative writing workshops. If you're interested in having me visit your school or library, let me know via this form and I'll be in touch.

School visits

School visits are honestly one of my favourite things - spending time with readers (and potential readers!) and getting them excited about mammoths, the ice age and the science of cloning is just wonderful. And of course I love speaking with the budding writers in the room, too!

I run talks as well as more hands-on workshops, all of which you can find more about below.

Talk themes

Talks run from 30 minutes upwards, and can include the following themes:

  • Mammoths and the Ice Age

  • Exploring extinction

  • Climate change and the end of the Ice Age

  • DNA and the science of cloning

  • Writing and overcoming challenges

Mammoth Rider is aimed at 9-12 year-olds, so my talks are best for that audience, too.

Workshops

Workshops take around an hour and can focus on one of the following themes:

  • STEM and storytelling

  • Curiosity and Creativity

  • Mammoths in the stoneage

As with my talks, these workshops have been developed to work best with 9-12 year olds.
